Common Management Admission Test
CMAT is an online entrance exam, conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), for getting an admission into different universities and colleges offering Master's degree in management.
CMAT is held in the month of January every year. Around 3-to-3.5 lakh students each year appear for CMAT.
However it should be noted that CMAT is different from other exams like CAT/MAT or any other exams conducted by private institutions like Narsee Monjee (NMAT) or Xavier's (XAT).
It is a computer based examination (no pen-&-paper and no OMR marking is required). CMAT has 100 questions and each question carries 4 marks (100Questions x 4marks = 400marks). For a wrong answer 1 mark is reduced from the score.
